Besednice Moldavite natural healing stone

Twenty-three by twenty-one by twelve. SKU EE-99 weighs 7.26 grams and carries those dimensions in a form that is immediately distinctive. The face is nearly square, 23mm long and 21mm wide, separated by just 2mm. The depth at 12mm is more than half the length. The result is one of the most compact, volumetrically dense pieces in the 7-gram range: a short, broad, deep specimen that occupies space more like a cube than a traditional Moldavite shape.

The nearly square 23x21mm face shows the natural surface character of Czech Moldavite across a broad, open area despite the stone's modest overall size. The 12mm depth behind that face means you are looking at a window into a genuinely substantial glass body. Pick it up and it sits densely in the palm. This is a stone where every one of those 7.26 grams is accounted for by volume, not by length. Nothing about this piece is extended or stretched. It is compact in every direction and it feels exactly that way.

The deep green of Czech tektite glass is well-developed in this specimen. The thinner outer edges carry a bright, translucent quality under directional light while the 12mm body depth holds the interior color richly at the center. The organically formed surface ridges and channels of genuine raw Moldavite cover the face. Their pattern is specific to this stone and will not be found on any other piece in any collection anywhere in the world. Legally sourced from the Czech Republic inventory. Frequently Asked Questions

What makes a 23x21mm Moldavite face nearly square?

A Moldavite face is described as nearly square when the length and width measurements are very close  in this case, 23mm long and 21mm wide, a difference of only 2mm. This creates a broad, balanced display surface that shows the natural tektite texture equally across both dimensions rather than favoring one direction.

Is a compact deep Moldavite harder to display than a longer one?

No  compact pieces like this 23x21x12 mm specimen actually display more easily because they are stable and self-supporting on most flat surfaces. They do not need a stand to prevent rolling or tipping, and their broad face is fully visible from directly above or from a slight angle without the stone needing to be propped.

What causes the surface texture on raw Czech Moldavite?

The surface texture on raw Czech Moldavite is the result of two processes. The initial surface formed when molten tektite glass cooled rapidly in the air after the meteorite impact. Over the following millions of years, weak soil acids in the Czech strewn field slowly etched and deepened those original surface features, creating the complex organically formed ridges and channels visible today.
